Summer Nationals starts tonight suckahs!

pimped out cars, hot rods, bikes, flame-throwers and burnouts!

Girls in bikinis!

Beer!

Hotdogs!

Fun for the whole family! You better be there.

War of the Worlds

More like war of the movie companies against my wallet.

It was okay for some of the special effects, but for the most part, I'd wait until you can dl it or see it on dvd.

MBA narrowing down

So, after a year or so of reading, researching, thinking, visiting schools, and then talking about it with my cousin Kali (a business major herself) and my managment professor, I've finally decided on my top five schools.

1. Harvard Business School
2. Clark University
3. Assumption College
4. Babson College
5. Bentley College

Now I just have to continuing writing essays, gather misc paperwork, remind people about recommendations, study/take GMAT's (only 2 of them will accept my GRE's alone) and start deciding whether I want to do it full-time or part-time along with working still. ugh...

Weekend of Stuff

So this weekend was pretty good. Lots of stuff that had to get done got done, nothing amazingly exciting though.

Friday:
-played with MP3 players at BestBuy after work. I'm more confident in my Ipod 20gig decision now
-went to a chinese buffet in leominster with Kali, Jill, and Dith. It was good. Watched "the terminal" afterwards at the Hogan house.

Saturday:
-brought my bike to Gamache's in Fitchburg to be fixed. I'm going to have it back on thursday. I'm pysched.
-Went kayaking on South Meadow in the blistering heat, but the water was cold, so all was well.
-Did my laundry (ooh, the excitement)
-Went to Mac's Diner in worcester with Kali and Jill. Good times.
-Watched "super size me" with Kali (and Jill for the 15 min she was home and awake)

Sunday:
-woke up late. did hw all morning
-cleaned the fish tank
-went to go shooting, but there was a stinking family reunion at the club and the closed the range down so that the "kiddies" wouldn't be scared. Little brats.
-Had no power most of the afternoon/night. Did my hw in the dark with my maglite. Fun times were had.

MP3 player

So, I've had my Rio500 for 5+ years now. It was one of the first mp3 players on the market, and it was pretty badass back in the day with its 32mb of internal memory with a slot for more memory (which I've been rocking out to with my 32mb card in there). So, I only have about 64mb of memory, which doesn't let me put more than about 25 songs on at a time. This is lame. This needs to be fixed.

I want to buy a new player. What does everyone have? Any recommendations. Your comments will be appreciated. The most I'd want to drop would be about $250ish.

3 day update

I'm horrible at posting, honestly.

Monday:
-worked 1/2 asleep, then went to my 3 hour lecture afterwards. Boring!

Tuesday:
-worked till 5ish,
-then went up to St. John's for some vball action. Saw Deej for the first time in about 2 months and we had some seriously awesome vollies. I love volleyball.
-drove out to worcester with the vball crew to eat at Tsam's. I learned how to open beer bottles using only the edge of my thumb and another bottle. I feel so talented. I then proceeded to slowly work off of 3 bottles of corona (simultaneously) for the remainder of the meal.
-went and saw nate maletesta and checked out his apartment.

wednesday:
-homework before work, as usual
-work till 5ish
-lecture
-then went and saw/photo'd Mark Santoro at Ralph's Diner in Worcester. That guy is great at one man, acoustic shows.

The Weekend in Review

Wow. This weekend was awesome...well, except for last night.
Friday:
-Got to do FIRST stuff for the majority of the workday, then went to BattleCry right after work
-Kali and I went to Buggaboo Creek for dinner after BattleCry and then went to see "mr. & mrs. smith" at showcase north. The movie was like 1/3 action and 2/3 comedy. We both thought it was pretty good. I recommend it.

Saturday:
-BattleCry till 6. We lost in the semis or something, but it was a decent day overall.
-Went back to Clinton for Mr. Haemer's retirement party for about 45 min.
-Met up with Kellyanne and her friends from Leominster and we drove down to Newport, RI for the Dane Cook show. He was, as usual, freakin hilarious. Great night overall.

Sunday:
-woke up late after my late night out, did errands and chores around the apt
-Visited my dad and grandfather for Father's Day
-Kayaked on South Meadow in Clowntown
-went to the gym and did my 1000 calorie workout (ugh)
-did a little work and then passed out at like 11pm

Monday:
-woke up at 3:30am only to realize that I still have a ton of work left to do. Did hw/project work until 7am and got ready for work.

Dane Cook!

So it's confirmed, I have the tickets for this saturday night. I'm heading down to Newport, RI for the Dane Cook show after BattleCry with a couple of friends from work. It's been about 2 months since I've seen the guy perform last, so, I'm looking forward to it. Plus we have pretty decent seats.

woohoo!

The weekend in review

Ugh, okay, o, this is my 2nd time trying to post this, so, this one may lack the bells and whistles that the last attempt had (my computer died midpost).

Friday:
-Bertucci's with Kali, Dith, and Jim. Saw Joe Dufresne for the first time in months, made me happy. We ended up sitting beside him and his GF at the restaurant. Watched Napoleon again at the Hogan house.

Saturday:
-reffed Mayhem in Merrimack all day with Kali and Dith. Then went to Rainforest Cafe with Kali, Dith, Andy, Jess, Amy, and Justin. It was awesome.

Sunday:
-laundry all day
-argued with dad as usual
-swam and burned with the best of them
-homework

Monday:
-worked all day
-case study presentation in my class, it went well. And I got my midterm back from last week and I got a 96 on it! :)

That's about it for now. This week looks like it may be boring, but, the weekend is going to be awesome. I'll keep you posted.

Oh my, battery grip. You are sexy...

So I finally broke down and convinced myself to buy the vert-grip/battery-holder for my digital rebel that I've wanted for a long time. I got it 1/2 off on eBay (I love you, eBay).

Now I just need a reason to go play with it. I'll post a picture of the camera soon with it's new grip so you can see the sexiness.

Awesome and Awesomer

Two things to discuss:

1. I finally got to push 110 the other day. It was good. The car seemed happy and still had some room for growth. My new goal is 120. I think it's realistic. The fastest that I've ever travelled in a car is 140, but, I'm pretty sure that the Nubian Princess will be unable to duplicate that feeling anytime soon. So, we'll see what her top speed ends up being.

2. Every summer I tell myself that I'm going sky-diving. Well, this summer I'm making it a point to do it. I'm thinking early August. I'll probably go over and do it in Orange, I'm just finalizing place right now for price packages. It'll be around $200 no matter where I go. If you want in, talk me, this could be a cool group experience.

The extended weekend in review

Wow, I'm getting really bad at posting lately. I've been busy.
Here's what I've been up to since the bongo incident on saturday:

Saturday:
Worked all day long at Nypro to get things done in advance for Tuesday. It was a good thing that I did, I would have looked awefully dumb this week had I not (the joys of being salaried and having your name permenantly attached to large scale projects).
After work, I goofed off at my dad's for a bit, did laundry, and then went up to Townsend to do photos for the Front Runner & Dakota show. It was pretty good. I saw a bunch of good friends that I hadn't seen in a while.

Sunday:
Was lazy all morning and played StarWars Galactic Battleground for the first time in months. I friggin love that game. Then I ate lunch, did some hw, and headed into clinton to pick up Kate. We then proceeded to see "crash" at solomon, eat at the Sahara, and then got some late night coffee. Goodnight overall. And crash was awesome. I thought it would be a joke because of Ludacris being in it, but he actually wasn't that bad of an actor. And the movie was great in general, very nicely done with good dialogue and not much filler scenes, and then it all tied in smoothly in the end. Go see it.

Monday:
Drove into clinton, did some hw, grabbed my bike from my dad's house, and made my initial ride of the summer around the wachusett reservoir. It was a good ride (my favorite in central mass), but, I started to pull a muscle around mile 14 but kept going because I knew that as long as I stayed moving I'd be fine. Of course, when I got home and stopped, my legs hated me. Oh well, this weekend I'll stretch A LOT MORE and ride a hair slower.

Tuesday & Wednesday:
WORKED. BORING.
