4-Digit Cardio

So I normally divy my workouts into 2/3 weights and 1/3 cardio. Well, I'm trying to shed a few pounds before the summer months, so, I thought that I'd switch the ratios up a bit.

Previously, the most cardio that I've done (measured in calories burned) in one sitting was 700. So tonight, I'm like "how long would it take to do 1000?"

I can now tell you that it takes 48 minutes on an eliptical machine. As expected, I'm wicked tired now. And sweaty. I'm going to go take a shower.

hey! good job TB.

I would expect with the bicycling season upon us you are likely to increase your cardio significantly once the weather remains at a constant awesome.

Rock on.

Thanks MikeD!
I think that I'm going to maintain this 1K-cal standard for the next week or so, and then up it to 1500-cal for a bit.

6-pack here we come!
