I'M DONE!
After a ton of working at nights during the past week and getting about 3 hours of sleep each night from monday-sunday, I'm done with my course-work for MFE 594. It was an experimental course and was never taught before, therefore the workload was kinda guessed upon. Guessed upon in a bad way.
Our paper for this project was 100 pages. The only thing to ever top that was my 200 page MQP. Our presentation, to the surprise of the audience (and us) was 70 slides. We talked for an hour before being told to end it. We were asked to finish immediately on slide 69. Apparently he didn't believe us when we said there was only one more slide to go, and that slide said "Thank you. Questions or Comments?"
But, all in all, I enjoyed the class. It was pretty interesting and I learned alot about different kinds of advanced manufacturing processes, particularly UltraSonic Impact Grinding.
Also, I'm not 1/2 way done with my ME master's degree. I have 6 courses to go (15 credits total). I should be done exactly 2 years from now. But, I think at some point I'll take out some loans and do more than one course at a time to speed things up. We'll see though. I've been enjoying (as much as you can say that...) paying out of pocket and not adding to the current loan debt. But, it'll probably pay off in the end to get more debt now in order to get a higher pay check sooner, which will then help me pay off said debt anyways.
