You can't honk at Nana
Currently listening to: Coheed & Cambria - Everything Evil
I was running some errands for my Gram (Mom's mom) today during lunch and I bumped into my Nana (Dad's mom) at the bank. We both left the bank at the same time and wound up driving together (me behind her) across most of Clinton.
At the light in front of Victory, they recently changed the light locations around a bit so that if you're a good driver and sit right at the stop line (as compared to way over it like most people) you cannot see the light. You actually have to cross the line a bit to see it change to green. My Nana was sitting there for about 15 seconds not moving. Granted, that's not a long time, but it's a long time when you're in a rush and you're from Massachusetts.
My first reaction was to honk to let her know it was green (as there was a long line of cars behind us) but I always feel like a jerk when I honk, plus, it was my Nana. You don't honk at Nana, do you? I didn't think so.
So, I sat there instead and waited. She eventually saw it and drove away.
Then I found $5.
