Yah for bikes!

Currently listening to: Dane Cook - Not so Kool-Aid

So lately I've been getting tired of riding my bike on long trips with my normal shoes. Aside from having no stiffness in my running shoes to help easily transfer my pedaling force around, I've also been getting tired of either getting my laces caught in the sprockets and then have them get cut, or I have to tuck them in.
So, I decided to buy some riding shoes.

I went to my bike store and looked at what they had for a selection. I had looked online for the different styles/models and what I could expect for prices. It would have probably been cheaper to do it online, but I don't like to buy shoes without trying them on first.
I walk in an right away, I'm like "crap, high prices". Of course, I expected this, so, I wasn't to suprised. But then! The guy at the desk walked me over to this magical area of Gamache's known as "the clearance table".
Holy crap. They had just what I was looking for, last year's shoes on sale. And not just "on sale", but HALF OFF. After some looking around, I decided on this sweet pair from Pearl Izumi that were originally $104. Got them for $52 with a huge smile on my face. And because I was buying these sweet as shoes, I went and bought myself a nice pair of entry level clip pedals from Shimano.

I expect my biking to become even awesomer in the upcoming rides...
